Here it finally is: "The Islander", the long-awaited third single of
the topseller "Dark Passion Play". As we all know, "Dark Passion
Play" came up to all expectations – and even outflanked them! Check

The fans, the media, everybody had welcomed Anette Olzon as the new singer of NIGHTWISH – and most of them also had to admit, that this sensational album is easily among the best stuff, the band has EVER done.
NIGHTWISH also won the German music award ECHO as best “alternative/rock act international” at the ECHO Awards in February 2008! Another proof for the importance of the band within the international music scene!
"The Islander" is the “ballad” of the album that gets frenetic reactions on their current (mostly sold out) tour and will be released as CD-Single incl. a DVD. The CD contains rare instrumental/orchestral versions of “Escapist” and “Meadows Of Heaven”!
The DVD features the video of the main song in two different versions as well as the making of “The Islander”. The band states that the clip (directed by Stobe Harju) is the best and most atmospheric one they’ve ever done so far.
