2001-11-03 - Official band news:
Hail there Brothers and Sisters of Metal,
As most of you know, we have been flat out busy in the studio for the past 4 weeks and we just finished recording all the songs for the new Pegazus album 'The Headless Horseman' last friday night!
We will be back in the studio next week to mix and master the album which should be all finished completely within 3 weeks...it really is sounding fantastic and I must say that it definitely is the best PEGAZUS album to date by far...the songwriting, playing and the whole package is very, very cool indeed.
The songs have a slight heavier edge to them but still maintain the riffs, melodies and solid as hell drum beats that keep the classic Pegazus style and sound alive more than ever...and not trying to sound cliche like most bands when talking about their new album...but this we all do feel strongly is the killer album that we have been building up to as a band over the years and we definitely can't wait to unleash it out there for all you metalheads out there early next year!
The tracklisting is now finalised and is as follows:
1. The Headless Horseman
3. A Call To Arms
4. The Patriot
5. Look To The Stars
6. Dragon Slayer
7. Spread Your Wings
8. Forever Chasing Rainbows
10. Neon Angel
11. Ballad Of A Thin Man
We also recorded a very unexpected but special version of the song 'The Patriot' which is another version of this very anthemic song that is a piano and vocal only intro...which really took us all by surprise at how great it sounded like this, so now we plan to have this extra version available somewhere, somehow too! This song I personally feel is our tribute to all those brave as hell soldiers from the USA, Australia, UK, Germany, Italy, and Russia, who are somewhere over in the waste lands of Afghanistan fighting the war of terrorism in respect of preserving our world freedom which without sounding too analytical, we all can sometimes take for granted!
Just for a moment, imagine a world where the freedom to listen to awesome music like Heavy Metal was totally forbidden...that would be a living hell, I know I couldn't do it...I need my daily dose of Heavy Fuckin' Metal!!!
