Nu Metal

The beginning of Nu Metal goes back to the middle of the 90's in the USA and connects parts of Heavy Metal with Grunge or Hip Hop. This style is the development of Alternative Metal and Crossover. The first Nu Metal band was Korn with their first album. Bands like Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot and Coal Chamber also could establish theirselfes with their sound into the Nu Metal genre. Since the 21st Century Nu Metal begins more and more to disappear. Most of the bands begun with duing another styles of music, even bands like Slipknot begun to write songs with classic Metal elements and structures. Typical elements in Nu Metal are the depper tuned guitars which set prioity in playing rhytm. Also Hip Hop beats and electronical elements were used by most of the bands.
