Industrial Metal

In the mid 80s there was a consolidation of dance and guitar music, which coined the new genre Industrial Metal intensively. Nine Inch Nails and Ministry were founded in the late 80s and combined elements of Dance with components of Metal or Alternative Rock. Thus, Industrial Metal became an own genre. These two bands made this genre very popular, too. Electronic elements, synthetic sounds, hammering drums and heavy guitar riffs are typical. In the early 90s, Industrial represented self-destruction, disaffection and uncontrollable hate. This was exactly what the crowd expected. Because of the fact that lots of Industrial Metal bands was founded, the genre got its peak in the mid 90s.
Fear Factory connected Death Metal with Industrial and Elektro. Therefore they were the beginning of a bizarre constellation, which spawned different bands e.g. Morbid Angel.
