2001-06-19 00:00 - Some news directly by the band itself:
Hey people of the forum and site! Yeah it has been rather quiet in the camp lately, this is due to the fact that we now have taken a short break up here. We did the enormously cool and succsessful 5 week tour
around Europe with Dimmu Borgir and needed some oxygen and vitamin treatment after that, ha! I wanna thank the hell out of you all for being there and supporting us and for checking the album out and
staying faithful to this website and the band, it has been a killer kick-off-start for us this year with the first album, much thanx to you all out there, keep it up! This past weekend we went down to Portugal and did
the Extremo Festival with some local Portugese bands including Sirius. Portugal was one of the few European countries not featured on the Euro-tour bill, so it was killer to play there as well!
About our website, I know Frank webmaster has loads of shit to do these days and is a busy man. He has also got some very interesting offers to do different websites, but I`ll let him tell you all about this himself
when everything is worked out for him.
But we are working on something up here, instead of just putting up some pictures from the tour we want to do like this tour-story/report whatever. Put up a new page maybe with loads of behind the scenes pics,
from stage, backstage, travel, party and crazy shit. Pictures with comments and other written material. This in order to make it more interesting to you all wondering what the hell is going on around when
metal-mental pasients thrash around the globe, har har! We had a lot of fun and crazy times and would like to share it with you. This will of course take some time to put up and work out, but be patient, we wanna
make it good!!
As far as news on the band activities go, I can tell you that we will spend the summer now working on the new material for the next album. We have booked studio in October and November and will most likely
work with Peter Tägtgren one more time, this due to his devotion to us and the fact that he has totally re-newed his studios with loads of new exciting equipment which seems to fit us right. We want to continue
the Susperian spirit and take it even further on the next album so a plan to work with people you trust and know seems correct to us!
There was some talks going on about Susperia joining Dimmu Borgir on the autumn tour of South and North America for over a month, but one can`t divide into two and that`s were there is a problem, cause we
live for playing live, but we feel we have to continue our music journey and create the new album as soon as possible, so expect the second Susperia album in the beginning of 2002, and to the Americans; see
you next year for sure!!!
Susperian metal greetings,
