2003-07-27 - Kataklysm have hired L.A. director Joe Lynch (Coal Chamber/311/Godhead/Pete Yorn) to film the bands first single "As I Slither" from the bands upcoming album "Serenity in Fire", the shoot will take place at The Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada on august 31st where the band will perform as part the Las Vegas Metalfest on labour day weekend.

This is what director Joe lynch had to say about his collaboration with Kataklysm:

"Let's face it...Kataklysm are brutal and talented musicians, and it's an honour to work with a band who still pursues the fundamentals of what makes powerful metal, and I mean like "balls out, 150% proof, freak your momma" type metal here, folks. All I wanna do with this video is capture their intense performance in the middle of Hades-er, Vegas, which should prove to be an interesting backdrop. I'll tell you this,
I'm excited as hell to shoot the sh*t outta these guys...and just a little scared, which to me is a good thing for metal, and hopefully that will translate onto this clip."
