Galder joins Dimmu Borgir

2000-08-28 - After Astennu left, DIMMU BORGIR now recruited OLD MAN'S CHILD Mainman Galder! Here's an official statement of the band: "After much confusion and mystery surrounding Astennu's replacement, we feel it's time to put everything in its place. When we released Astennu from his duties, we made a few hasty business decision's due to pressures regarding the new album and time- schedules. As it turns out, unfortunately, it didn't work out with Archon the way both parties expected. But all the bullshit aside Dimmu Borgir is very proud to announce that no other than Galder (Old Man's Child) is Astennu's permanent replacement on guitar and will feature on the forthcoming, STILL yet untitled Dimmu Borgir-masterpiece, to be recorded in Studio Fredman, Gothenburg, Sweden with Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, Arch Enemy, In Flames etc.), starting September 4th 2000. Some tracks are as follows: "Blessings upon The Throne of Tyranny", "Maelstrom Mephisto", "Architect of A Genocidal Nature", "Sympozium" and "Kings of The Carnival Creation" among others. Also featuring a re-recording of the ' 96 classic track "Devil's Path" for the Japanese version of the new album. Finally we would like to thank Archon for all his efforts, time and dedication(sorry it didn't work out!), and Dimmu Borgir wish him the best of luck and every success for the future!"
