DORO – surprises MOTÖRHEAD with anniversary cake! Rerun of special feature on German TV!
2010-12-01 - Advent season in Düsseldorf. In no way silent and contemplative, though. 5.000 enthusiastic metalheads showed up at the kick off gig of the mutual Motörhead / DORO tour and got it all!
A special gig indeed since it’s the first tour for Motörhead mainman Lemmy and DORO together. “I am so happy this is eventually happening!” DORO says “in addition it’s Motörheads 35th anniversary – it’s our duty to party!”
A word and a blow: German rock legend surprised Lemmy with a 40x70cm, 2,5 pound Motörhead cake made of marzipan, mock cream and a whiskey center. “Otherwise Lemmy wouldn’t eat it”, DORO jokes.
Please find pics of the cake attached! This masterpiece was created by Düsseldorf confectioner Martin Jösten. The first slice was eaten right after a 3 hour rock spectacle!
Furthermore the DORO special which has been broadcasted last week by German digital tv station iMusic1 will be rerun on December 5, 2010 at 11pm CET!
Also don’t miss out if you are in the area: After rocking out in Stuttgart with Motörhead on December 4, DORO will check in at the Nuclear Blast Headquarters on December 5 for a signing session between 2-4pm CET!
