SAINT VITUS

Many doom bands owe a lot to St. Vitus, as they were doing the ultra-slow, first-album-Sabbath dirge long before it became fashionable.

Their sound was quite raw in places, particularly on the early albums, where the production was occasionally a bit primitive.

The band has been fortunate to feature three classic doom vocalists in their career.

Guitarist Dave Chandler has recently formed a band called Debris Inc. with ex-Trouble bassist Ron Holzner.
